14th annual Pink Ribbon Luncheon is Saturday
All are invited to attend the 14th annual Pink Ribbon Luncheon to be held at the Chic ‘n Chop Restaurant on Saturday, Oct. 21! Check in is 12:30 p.m. and the program is from 1 to 3 p.m.
The featured speaker this year is Dr. Susan Layeux and there will be special music provided by Scott & Diana Stover of Shiloh Rising. Tickets are $8 and include a delicious salad buffet. Among the festivities will be a presentation of the 12th annual Mary Epstein Award, as well as an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for the gorgeous queen sized quilt made by Ardie Bauman in memory of her sister Annette. Last but not least there will be a drawing to determine the quilt winner, as well as prizes and awards. This yearly event is sponsored by the Boundary County Women’s Cancer Support Group, with all proceeds to stay local to benefit the community. For more information please contact 208-267-3751 or 208-267-2711.
The Bonners Ferry Women’s Cancer Education and Support Group was established to provide emotional support, encouragement and hope resulting from group discussions and presentations by guest speakers. Newly diagnosed ladies with any type of cancer are given lovely baskets containing a variety of items to let them know we are here for them because we understand and care.
Donations from local groups and individuals make it possible for us to provide gas vouchers to women, men or children who travel out of Boundary County for cancer treatments or appointments.
