Fire danger drops to ‘low’
According to Director of Emergency Management Michael Meier and the Idaho Department of Lands, with the current and expected wet weather, they are dropping fire danger to low in both the valleys and mountains. They are now issuing burn permits for all types of burning.
As always, they request burners to contact the Boundary County Sheriff’s Office to try to limit smoke reports from passers-by.
As a reminder, the closed burn season will officially come to an end Oct. 20.
