GONE FISHIN’...
Harvey Vernell Gordon was born Nov. 29, 1930 in South Bend, Ind. He went to his heavenly fishing grounds on Oct. 16, 2017.
Harvey’s many attributes were kindness to all, never a cross word to anybody, loyalty and making people laugh. He gave all he had, especially of himself, to his family, friends, neighbors, and strangers.
Harvey is survived by the “love” of his life, Margie, his treasured niece Linda (Ron), stepson Chad (Aubrey); grandchildren Chris, Amanda, Rebecca, Ryan (Macie) and Ryley; great-grandchildren Cash, Dallas, and Terryn, his son Mike (Michelle) of Michigan, his daughter Rebecca (Bert) of Illinois, and Rev. Brenda Gordon of Michigan.
Harvey’s “passion” in life was fishing, from night crawlers to flies, to telling fishing tales. Harvey taught his kids, his grandkids and many young friends how to fish and how to clean what you catch. He had patience beyond endurance.
He went on this last adventure talking fishing and extending love to all around him. We miss you, miss you, miss you but you have now joined Scott and our hearts tell us how joy filled you are!
