Scouts collect food for those in need in your neighborhood
Local area food banks will be teaming up with Scouts, unit leaders, and parents to collect food for those in need. We plan to collect more than 100,000 pounds of food, just in time for the holiday season. Join us in making a difference in our community by feeding those in need!
Scouting for Food is the largest one-day event organized by the Inland Northwest Council, Boy Scouts of America and is always the first and second Saturdays in November.
It is estimated that nationally 48 million people, including 13.1 million children, live in homes that experience hunger: where meals are frequently skipped or who go without food for a whole day.
Through the combined efforts of residents, neighborhood food banks and the Boy Scouts of America, hungry families will know that their community cares by providing meals for them to eat.
