Letter to the Editor: A Tale of 2 Cities
CIVIC DEMANDS: A tale of two cities
In one, a resident is given permission by the city council and mayor to live full time, year-round, without a water hookup, electric, septic (unless a hole with a toilet chair counts), in a small/travel trailer for three plus years. Still ongoing ...
In two, a resident files the simple paperwork required by the city and informs the city clerk of their plans. No stipulations are made, no ordinances cited, no further requirements written or stated are made. Yet, several months down the road, their honesty and hard work earns them a verbal assault, reprimand and unsubstantiated demands by the city council.
Demands and requirements not made of others ... just the law-abiding.
If I didn’t know better ... that has an eerily familiar ring to it.

THANKS: To citizens of Boundary County
I am writing to thank Boundary County citizens of Bonners Ferry/Kootenai precinct for supporting me for the last 6 years as your Republican precinct committeeman. It’s time for me to retire from this position which leaves a open seat. I would like to encourage you to vote for a person I have learned to know as a respected community leader in many ways. His name is Bill Blumenauer.
Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Larry DeVore

I support retaining Glenda Poston to the office of Boundary County Clerk. Glenda has proven herself to be a strong leader in this position and in the community. Glenda demonstrates, daily, the skills the job requires and carries out her duties responsibly and honorably. Voters in Boundary County have placed their confidence in Glenda for this position since 2004 and are well served in their decision. Retention of Glenda at the ballot box ensures the people of Boundary County have the best qualified person for the job!

ELECTION: Poston for Boundary County Clerk
Glenda Poston has represented Boundary County well over her 14-year tenure as Clerk/Auditor/Recorder. She is competent, understands the job, and enjoys her position.
Glenda has held offices at the State level through the Idaho Association of Counties helping to guide elected officials. Networking with elected officials across the State is important, not only to gain knowledge in the Clerk/Auditor/Recorder’s office but to garner new relationships and ideas to help Boundary County prosper.
Please vote to retain Glenda as Boundary County Clerk/Auditor/Recorder.
Kris Larson, retired city clerk
