Public Burbot Release

Public burbot release planned Aug. 16

The Kootenai Tribe of Idaho invites the community to participate in releasing of hatchery-reared juvenile Burbot (a.k.a. Ling) into the Kootenai River.

Participants will have an opportunity to release Burbot and learn more about the Kootenai Tribe’s fish programs.

Please drop in Thursday, Aug. 16, between 10 a.m. and noon at the public Search and Rescue Boat Ramp (located by the Boundary County Waterways Building) one mile west on Riverside Street. All ages are welcome, and we remind all attended to please use the designated parking areas as this is a public boat launch.
