Aug. 5: We had 13 shooters today. Shot four practice rounds, then four Annie Oakley’s. We had two Canadian shooters join in. They are always welcome, good at breaking clay targets, and a lot of fun.

“Dukes Clay Busters” Aug. 8: We had two school shooter and one adult. Today Melanie Campbell and a new shooter Kamen Nelson. I believe he is 13 years old and his first time shooting trap from a automatic machine. He broke 19X25 first then followed the next round with a 22X25. Losing only three the second round. I believe he is a natural. Anyway, we sure hope he stays with the club and keeps improving.

“Dukes Clay Busters” Aug 11: We had two school shooters. Today Melanie Campbell and Kamen Nelson, both improving on their shooting skills. The Rice brothers and Black brothers all had a wedding to attend. Hope to see them all shooting together next week.

Bonners Ferry Gun Club Aug 2: We had 16 shooters today, a very good turnout. Shot five practice rounds and four Annie Oakley’s. The Annie’s were great fun as always, with three different winners, each time except for deadeye Fred Hendrickson, who won two. Fred brought along a guest shooter from Las Vegas. Visiting him and Alice, so I guess he figured he had to bring home some extra meat. Good shooting Fred. Hope to see you all next week.

Don’t forget the Bonners Ferry High School Team will be selling the last 400 raffle tickets at the Boundary Tractor exhibition at the fair, starting this Weds Afternoon Aug 15: new 450 Kodiak Yamaha ATV, 42’ Flat screen TV from Super 1 Foods, dining and Suite weekend and Spa at Kootenai River Inn, one ton of pallets or one pallet of Presto Logs from North Idaho Energy Logs and $100 gas card from 3 Mile Exxon.

Shoot safely and keep your powder dry.
