SMART GROWTH: A power grab via the UN
A recent article in the Herald revealed that the South Hill re-do is an Idaho smart growth project. So what is Smart growth? The following statement from the UN answers. Participating in a UN advocated planning process would very likely bring out many who would actively work to defeat any elected official who did so. So we will call our process something else such as comprehensive planning, growth management or smart growth.
Smart growth has its roots in Agenda 21 which is the UN’s plan for the world in the 21st century. This plan was revealed in 1992 and signed onto by President Bush. A common buzz word used to promote Agenda 21 is sustainable development. Sustainable development includes not only smart growth projects which usually include cameras and listening devices to monitor the citizens but also conservation easements, endangered species concerns, Farmland preservation programs and numerous other programs designed to have a negative impact on property rights and the economy.
As usual those behind this power grab are the world’s wealthiest men, like the Rockefellers, George Soros and Ted Turner. The question is why are our elected officials like Dan Dinning and Dave Sims doing their bidding at the KVRI. Check out the KVRI website and see for yourself.
