Idaho Legal Aid Services plans visit

| August 23, 2018 1:00 AM

A lawyer from the Coeur d’Alene office of Idaho Legal Aid Services may meet in Bonners Ferry on Monday, August 27, 2018 to meet with low-income Boundary County residents who have legal problems or questions — if there are four or more community members signed up.

Legal Aid’s lawyers provide free legal help with the following: problems with government benefit programs, including TAFI (welfare), Food Stamps, Medicaid, Medicare, SSI, Social Security, and county assistance; tenants’ problems with landlords, including evictions and repairs; foreclosures of subsidized mortgages; customer problems with utility companies; and problems dealing with creditors.

Those interested in meeting with the lawyer on the fourth Monday of each month can schedule a time to meet by calling the Community Action Partnership at 208-267-3663. The meetings will take place in Bonners Ferry. Idaho Legal Aid Services, Inc. may also be contacted at 208-667-9559 throughout the month to seek legal help for problems that cannot wait until the next monthly visit to Bonners Ferry.
