Game of the Day for the week of Aug. 15 was “Best Ball Foursome” from the yellow tees, in which all players played their own game, but each foursome recorded the lowest score on each hole as their team score. The winning Game of the Day foursome was Evelyn Rae, Linda Bogdan, Maureen Blackmore and Etta Mae Schneurle with their gross best ball score of 45.

In the individual games, Therese Helmer won low gross with her score of 47. There was a tie for low net with Maureen Blackmore and Linda Hiatt who each had 32. Beverly Comegys made a chip in on hole #9, and Maureen Blackmore had a birdie on hole #2. Evelyn Rae won the low putts award with 14. All in all, it was a very eventful and fun morning.

The Mirror Lake Ladies meet on Tuesday evenings and/or Wednesday mornings at Mirror Lake Golf Club from the first Wednesday in May through the last Tuesday/Wednesday in September. Play is for 9 holes or 18, at the choice of each player. The variety of games of the day and good luck or bad luck bounces on the course terrain or under-the-tree shots that happen from time to time make for fun and challenging golf mornings or evenings for all participants! All interested lady golfers are welcome to join!
