BONNERS FERRY — The Badgers cheerleading team is launching the season with a coaching change. Sara Jenkins is stepping down from coaching the team due to personal reasons. The school has been hosting interviews, but the new coach has yet to be announced. During the transition, Jenkins has been assisting the cheer squad with practices.

After losing four seniors, the squad has gained three new members and they have had five returns.

“Last year we took Grand Champion at districts with dedication and hard work,” Jenkins said. “I believe the girls can achieve that status again.”

With well practiced choreography, the girls will be prepared to not only show off their stunts and routines, but encourage the Badger teams to perform their best during this season’s games.
