North Bench Fire fundraiser a success
As a result of the Pistol Range Day and the Boundary County Fair booth, North Bench Volunteer Fire Department raised about $2,000, making it possible for the department to pick up a used brush truck from Idaho Department of Lands for $3,000. This Type 4 truck will greatly increase the capacity of the current brush truck from 250 gallons to 750 gallons and has a foam tank as well. Because of the success of these recent fundraising events the acquisition of this unit will not only help those living in the North Bench area, but all of Boundary County because of the mutual aid agreements in place with most fire departments.
Many hoped to win the rifle graciously donated by Tactical Innovations for North Bench Fire Department’s raffle. Congratulations to the winner, Len Pine!
A sincere thank you to all in the community who gave their support and helped make both events so successful. Whether you purchased a raffle ticket, placed a bid on silent auction items, spun the prize wheel, or gave generously of your time, it is greatly appreciated. And special thanks to the businesses that contributed items to support our community’s volunteer firefighters: North Idaho Iron Works, The Gathering Place, Far North Outfitters, Car Quest, Auto Zone, Three Mile Corner Café, Wood’s Meats, Shopko, Larson’s Department Store, Super 1 Foods, Safeway, and especially, the team from Tactical Innovations. It couldn’t have been done without you!
