Slow start hurts BFHS in loss to Libby
BONNERS FERRY — The Bonners Ferry High School football team hosted its first home game against Libby on Friday, Aug. 24. The game was originally planned to be an away game, but due to the air quality, Libby’s events were moved to Bonners Ferry.
Libby won the game 35-6, which gave the Badgers information on the things they needed to work on.
“We gave up 21 points in the first quarter and could not get our offense going,” said Coach Cory Kramer. “I really thought the boys came back tough and settled down and played well the final three quarters.”
The team is missing some of their members, and look forward to playing with them in the next few weeks.
“We are a young team with some freshman and sophomores starting right now,” said Kramer. “Saw a lot of good things that we can build on as the season goes on.”
The next home game is 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, against Newport. For more information on upcoming games, visit www.bfbadgers.com.
