‘Dukes Claybusters’ school team

Saturday, Dec. 1: We had just three school trap shooters today. Colin and Kamen were shooting at a rifle competition in Sandpoint today. All competitions are good experience for all competitors young and old, female or male.

Melanie Campbell broke 17X25 and 19X25, Wyatt Hathaway broke 18X25 and 19X25, and Ryan Cartli broke 15X25 and 19X25, all great scores for a cold 26 degrees shooting at a moving clay target.

Saturday, Dec. 8: Wow! we had five school shooters today. Another cold day, but not too cold to keep these tough weather school trap shooters from breaking good scores. We had new shooter today, 14-year old Cassidy Underhill. First time shooting clay targets with a 20 gauge, 11-87 Remington shotgun. She watched the regular team members shoot a round, then she shot seven or eight practice rounds then shot with the team, breaking 13X25 first round then 15X25 2nd round, impressing us all and making her father Michael very proud.

This week Kamen Nelson shot the best scores breaking 19x25 and 23X25, Melanie Campbell 13X25 and 21X25, Colin Fairchild 16X25 and 20X25 and Ryan Carelli with 16X25 and19X25. The team is getting into the 20’s again and in this winter weather. Their coach is very confident they will place individually and team wise in our telephonic shoot, starting Jan. 6, 2019. Wade Rice won this in his class last years competition. Keep those grades up and I’m sure it will help keep your scores up.

B.F. Gun Club Shooters

Sunday Dec. 2: We had nine shooters today. Practice rounds and four Annie Oakley.

Sunday Dec. 9: The gun club had eight shooters today, practice rounds and four Annie’s. Lonny Jelinek and Mel Woods traveled to Thompson Falls to a meat shoot today to support their club. As they came and supported our shoot. Very cold over there windy and 20 degrees.

Shoot safe and Dress Warm.
