House of Bounce a big hit
BONNERS FERRY — With the strong need for an indoor recreational area for kids to play during the long cold months, the House of Bounce opened its doors on Dec. 7 with a bouncing success.
“It’s a good place, especially in the wintertime to get the kids energy out without it being cold,” said local mom Amanda Smith. “That and I like that it is in town. If it snows us in, we can just walk here.”
With more than 200 children already having visited the center, the bounce house has won the favor of many families.
“The House of Bounce is a great asset to our community,” said Shannon McNutt, who is a local mother and grandmother. “We now have a fun place to take the grandkids during the long winter months and during the smoky months of summer.”
It can also serve as a birthday party venue, adding another option to the area, or even a meeting place for teenagers to hang out while younger siblings play.
“I am so excited to have this in Bonners Ferry,” said Leslie Griffiths. “I am so glad there is a place for kids to burn off energy and my kids are super jacked about getting to have their birthdays somewhere different.”
Walking into the building, one’s eye is immediately greeted by the variety of bounce options. There are four different bounces, each with age specifications so that the smaller kids aren’t hurt by the larger ones. The biggest one is geared toward the older kids with a ‘race course’ and climbing walls. There are two intermediate bouncers and one geared more toward toddlers.
The sitting area consists of several couches, tables, and chairs. They offer conveniently placed plug-ins in the lounge area, as well as Wi-Fi, and fresh coffee.
“It is a fun place where they can interact with the other children while burning off extra energy, said McNutt. “The prices are wonderful and we even enjoyed a cup of coffee while sitting comfortably in one of the several couches. I will definitely be spending a lot of time there with my grandchildren this year. I highly recommend the House of Bounce.”
They recently started selling gift certificates for Christmas or birthday presents, with the unique feature of never expiring. The House of Bounce also offers an after school special from 4 to 5:30 p.m. where every paid child gets a free snack.
“It has been amazing,” said Justin Gibbons. “We just want to thank everyone for so much support and kind words that we have heard around the community and on Facebook.”
