Lola Luanne Melior

Lola Luanne Melior was born on June 19, 1941 in Copeland, Idaho to Ellis and Ruth Ritz. She died on Dec. 6, 2018, in Hayden, Idaho.

Luanne grew up on the family farm. Her favorite childhood memories were sledding down the county road from the highway to her aunt and uncle’s house, and dressing up her kitty in doll clothes and pushing him around in a doll buggy,

Luanne graduated from Bonners Ferry High School in 1960 and married her husband Phil on June 5 of the same year. They have three children: Larry, Lisa, and Linda.

Luanne and her husband ran Melior Floral in Bonners Ferry for several years. She also worked as a custodian for the Bonner County School District.

Luanne loved her Lord, and was active in several churches throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband Phil, her parents Ellis and Ruth Ritz, and her brother Donald Ritz.

She is survived by her brother Darrell Ritz (Norma), son Larry Melior (Jessie Stewart), daughters Lisa Simonsen (Tom) and Linda Dowd. She also had six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She will be buried next to her husband in Grandview Cemetery, Bonners Ferry, Idaho.
