Request for the Release of Funds On or about February 19, 2018 the City will submit a request to the Idaho Department of Commerce, State of Idaho, administering agency for the release of Idaho Community Development Block Grant (ICDBG) funds under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 (PL 93-383), as amended, to undertake the following project: Project Name: Bonners Ferry Wastewater River Crossing Upgrades Purpose or Nature of the Project: The project will replace the single 8-inch asbestos lined pipe with two 8-inch jacketed pipes. Currently, lift stations No. 2 and No. 5 both pump into the sewer force main. If both stations need to work at the same time, the pumps require more energy to overcome the increased line pressure. The project will also include new support blocks, straps, pads, valves, fittings and a new valve vault along with demolition of the old pipe. Project Location: Bonners Ferry, Boundary County, Idaho Estimated Cost of Project: $692,152 Finding of No Significant Impact The City has determined that the project will have no significant impact on the human environment. Therefore, an Environmental Impact Statement under the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA) is not required.
