Dukes Clay Busters

Dukes Clay Busters are currently in third place out of seven trapshooting teams, Idaho, Montana and Washington clubs. There is only two weeks left in the Big Sky I-Net and Spokesman Review shoots and four more weeks left in the Camas Prairie shoot.

The thing is not to miss any weeks as you cannot make any up. After five weeks we find Wade Rice in second place, he has not missed any shoot date, every Saturday, at 10 a.m.

Remember keep those grades up. I really commend these young shooters for being tough as they are. Shooting in this cold and windy weather is tough, I’m proud of you all.

Bonners Ferry Gun Club had 18 shooters including 4 juniors, 18 degrees and windy. Dave “Jake” Jacobson won “A” class with a 44X50 good shooting Jake. He also out shot my idol, Ken Nystrom, by one bird. In “B” class it was won by Dean Nelson from Troy, Mont., a member of our club for a couple decades, he won by count back as there were 7 - 39X50’s, good shooting. We all had some good practice from the back fence in the Annie Oakley’s as the wind was really taking them up to the sun, where ever it was. I hope you all enjoyed the K.V. gun show this weekend. Thank you all for supporting them and the B.F. Gun Club.

Shoot straight and keep your powder dry.
