| January 11, 2018 12:00 AM

A celebration of art, music and film to commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his message of equality, respect, hope and non-violence will be held at The Pearl Theater on Saturday, Jan. 13, at 3 p.m.

The program will include a slide show “Racism, Then and Now” by Timothy Braatz, author and university professor of history and peace studies. Band teacher, Jessica Hanna, will be performing with some of her students as well as musical performances by Paul Bonnell. Art teacher, Dawn Wagner, will display art projects by her middle school students.

The event is sponsored by the Boundary County Human Rights Task Force. Join us in honoring Dr. King and his vision that “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
