Robert Menard Langley

Robert Menard Langley crossed over on Jan. 6, 2018, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He was born on Oct. 4, 1932 in Portland, Maine, to Francis Edward Langley and Elizabeth Avis (Carlisle) Langley.

Bob served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1954. He earned a B.S. Degree in Aeronautical Engineering at Northrop Institute of Technology in Inglewood, Calif. This launched his career in the aerospace industry. He worked for Rockwell International for 30 years as a structural design engineer (MIS V) and was a member of the material review board for 22 years. Yes, Bob was a “rocket scientist” and held a “secret” security clearance.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Lynn Langley of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; two sons, Robert M. Langley, Jr., of Palm Springs, Calif., and Bruce Calvin Langley of Hollywood, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Jenny Lind Tough; and four step grandchildren, Adrienne P. Krusynsky. Owen Michael Boyd, Avery Lynn Dagan and Van McClain Meadows. Also surviving are a brother, Bill (Bud) and Sherry Langley of Riverside, Calif., and a nephew, Jim and Diann Gregary of Parker, Colo.
