Healthy homemade Nutella
Anyone who is in the know about healthy foods knows Nutella is not so good for you. My friend Rita in Hawaii shared her homemade recipe and photo today and it sounds fantastic! Coconut cream is the best ever… I get mine from Tropical Traditions, kind of spendy, but so worth it they frequently have buy one and get one free. I’ll bet you could vary it using other nuts. Enjoy!
In a food processor pulse on high 2 cups roasted hazelnuts with 3/4 cup coconut cream until it turns soft and buttery. Add 3 Tbsp cacao powder and 1/3 cup raw honey. Continue to pulse until nice and smooth by adding 1 or 2 Tbsp. coconut cream.
Scoop it in small jars. Enjoy!
It keeps refrigerated for about couple of weeks, but it never lasts that long! It goes with everything, even as a cake filling or in between 2 macaroons.
