BONNERS FERRY — On Jan. 20, about 300 members of the Boundary County community gathered at the middle school to support Abigail Blockhan, daughter of Don and Nikki Blokhan in her fight against Dysautonomia.

“We are grateful to the community for coming out and supporting this cause, the donors and the attendees,” said Boundary County Sheriff Reserve Deputy Steve Ussher. “It was fantastic.”

The community came together and raised over $1,200 for the family through the silent and live auctions and the spaghetti feed.

“The Blockhan family was moved to tears,” said Ussher.

For additional donations, Ussher has set up a GoFundMe page called “Aiming-High-for-Abigail.”
