Ronald Harvey Koubek

Ronald Harvey Koubek, born Aug. 26, 1942 in San Bernardino, Calif., peacefully went to be with the Lord on April 29, 2018, in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, where he lived since 1994.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the Koubek Home at 5202 Moyie River Road, Bonners Ferry.

Ron began his career in electrical distribution, working part time while in high school, with Ti-County Electrical which later became Consolidated Electrical Distributors, Inc. He progressed through the ranks and became a key member of the organization. After years of success with CED, Ron retired in 1994 and moved to Idaho where he built his home on the Moyie River and married Lori.

Ron had a passion for restoring cars and spent many hours in his garage working on one of his many projects. He was an active member in the Bonners Ferry Rod Benders Car Club.

He is survived by his wife Lori Koubek; two sons, Jarrod Koubek of Utah and Justin Koubek of Bonners Ferry; stepchildren, Russell Ripatti of Georgia and Jenifer Taylor of England; six grandchildren, Jadd Koubek, Sophia Koubek, Dylan McKinley, Izzy Ripatti, Aidan Taylor, Emily Taylor; sister Bev Hodges of California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
