Clarence Martin (Duke) Peterson

Clarence Martin (Duke) Peterson passed away June 10, 2018, at Community Hospital. Services will be held at Bonners Ferry Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2018.

He was born on Oct 9, 1936 in Gilroy, Calif., to Alfred and Neva (Carter) Petersen. He married the love of his life, Ethel Kincaid, on Aug 23, 1954. There were three boys born to them — Jim (deceased), Bob and Billy. Duke was involved with the rodeo in California an Sandpoint. The boys grew up knowing and loving the rodeo. He taught and coached his sons and willing friends to ride in North Idaho. This included roping, riding broncs and rodeo clowning.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ethel Kincaid Petersen, and sister Bev Bailey of Peicino, Calif.

Rob and Joanie and Billy and Teresa of Bonners Ferry. He loved his grandchildren, Michele, Cody, Robin, Jake Kimberly and Jim, and numerous great-grandchildren.
