Gun Club: Duke's Claybusters
Saturday, June 9, 10 a.m., good weather for a couple of hours. Wade Rice and Connor Black. Two school shooters today, but what great scores. Connor had his best scores — yes, 21X25s. He is improving every week.
Wade shot his best scores yet. He first broke 19X25 with a gun he had never shot before, then he used my Lujtic and broke his first 25X25, his second round he shot 25X25 for 50X50 — WOW! “Duke” was smiling down on him today. A good gun fit and some practice makes perfect.
Melanie Campbell is improving well as she shot on Wednesdays as to fit her schedule. I would sure like to see some more school students coming out and shoot on Saturdays and Wednesday, which ever day fits their schedule. Any and all shooters are welcome; regular practice and fun and games are on Sundays at 10 a.m.
Don’t forget our fundrasier — buy a ticket for a chance at a new ATV and other great prizes, it only takes one ticket to win. One hundred percent of the proceeds go to the High School Trap Club for shells, safety supplies, etc. You can view the ATV and get tickets at Boundary Tractor, any club member and some of our local business.
Keep your powder and come on out and practice shooting clay targets, they are not edible but it’s sure fun.
