Bamboo Room to close
BONNERS FERRY — After seven years in their current location by EL Automation, The Bamboo Room crafts store will be closing their doors on June 30.
“The reason I’m closing my store is two reasons, I want to have to time to spend with my family and business has slowed down due to the internet,” said owner Linda Lederhos.
The internet has made purchasing online an easier route for many Boundary County residents for a wide array of things. The downside of purchasing mainly online is it takes business away from the local businesses.
“The small businesses support the events with donations for everything from the 4-H animal sale, benefit auctions for someone who has lost their home in a fire, or for a family struggling financially from a medical event,” said Lederhos. “The small businesses are the backbone of our wonderful town.”
The Bamboo Room Craft Store carries a variety of items such as glue, dyes, buttons, jewelry items, ribbons, and more than 1,400 types of paper. Everything is marked down to sell, with many items 50 percent off and some even lower.
“I will miss seeing all the wonderful customers that have become family over the years. I will continue to hold classes, so keep an eye on my Facebook page,” said Lederhos. “Come shop one more time before I’m gone and stock up on all your crafting needs... and thank you all.”
The Bamboo Room Craft Store is located north of 3 Mile Store on Hwy. 95 and Automation Lane, you can find them online at www.facebook.com/BambooRoomCrafts, or call 208-290-1483. On June 30, they will be open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
