GROW! names spring raffle winners

Thanks to the generosity of many local businesses in Bonners Ferry and Sandpoint, GROW! was able to raise more than $600 in its annual raffle sales event. Winners included Tammy B. from Spokane, and Justine Williams and Linda Hall, both from Bonners Ferry. This year the raffle team chose to have three winning ticket options for purchasers of tickets: gift certificates, garden items or gift baskets.

GROW! is a 501c3 non-profit organization that maintains a community garden space located on Buchanan Street and donated by Trinity Lutheran Church. GROW! provides space for individuals to grow their own vegetables in plots and raised beds for those who are unable to garden conventionally, and also provides food to Community Action Partnership/Food Bank, area free lunch programs, and the Senior Center.

The money raised from the spring raffle will help water and maintain the 2018 garden.

GROW! thanks Super 1 Foods, Moose Valley Farms and the Boundary Community Hospital Health Fair for providing space to sell raffle tickets. And thanks to the two sweet children who drew the winning tickets Cooper Higgins, son of Debbie and Joe Higgins, and Emma Robertson, daughter of Amy and Ben Robertson.
