Thomas ‘Tom’ Dewey White

Thomas “Tom” Dewey White, 78, passed away on June 15, 2018 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho

Tom was born in Kellogg, Idaho, on May 9, 1940 and grew up in Moyie Springs, Idaho, He graduated from high school in Bonners Ferry in 1958. He was in the National Guard and worked for the Forest Service before working for Burlington Northern Railroad. The railroad took him to Pasco, Wash., Kennewick, Wash., and Spokane, Wash. He retired from Burlington Northern in 1996.

Tom enjoyed cutting wood and having the largest wood pile possible and mowing his lawn. He loved visiting with and caring for his family and friends, who will miss him terribly.

Tom is survived by his daughters, Stacy White and Crystal White Braun (Dustan), his aunt Valdie White Burkholder, his step siblings Tom Roy (Virginia) Cowley, Mike (Sandy) Cowley and Diana (Paul) Trice, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Buck White in 1940, his step-mother Kathleen Armstrong Cowley White in 1989 and his father George White in 2009.

A luncheon will be held in his honor at noon Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Bonners Ferry.
