Hawaiian Days bring sun to the gloom
BONNERS FERRY — Craig Anderson, director of the Boundary County Library, has not only stepped up and brought books to seniors in the community who reside in the Restorium and the Boundary Community Hospitals extended care facility, but he has also brought adventure,
Community members came together to celebrate a Hawaiian themed day throughout Bonners Ferry. The cafeteria of the hospitals extended care facility was decorated with the tropical theme, and residents were able to enjoy ginger ale with a skewer of fruit and a roasted shish kabob while enjoying some time in the sun lit room.
Several other places in town joined in with the festivities of the day, dressing up and displaying tropical decorations.
Mountain West Bank, Columbia Bank, the library, the courthouse, middle school, and several other places around Bonners Ferry came together to celebrate the euphoria of a warm tropical day in the midst of the newly waning snow.
With colorful decor, smiling faces, and the sun shining cheerfully through the windows, community members came together with bright smiles and upbeat attitudes toward everyone that crossed their paths.
Bringing brightness and joy to the lives of those nearby, may bring a smile and light step to those that not merely spread their encouragement, but to those that encounter the ripple of effect that one small act of kindness, one smile, or nice compliment to a stranger, may accomplish.
