BFHS first home track meet a success

BONNERS FERRY — On March 22, Bonners Ferry High School hosted a double duel track meet against Timberlake and Coeur d’Alene Charter. With tough competition, the Badgers were scored separately with the other schools, and came out on top against Coeur d’Alene Charter, but lost to the Timberlake team.

In the men’s varsity 100 meter race, Daniel Walker came out in fifth place with 12.53, Alex Alverez came out seventh with 12.66, Justin Mendenhall finished number eight with 12.69, Mitch Falk came in eleventh with 12.91, and finishing seventeenth was Aeden Carpenter at 13.26.

For the girl, Emmaline Pinkerton finished with 15.90, and Prairie Plaster finished in ninth place with 16.01.

For the 200M Women’s Varsity, Jenna Brooks came in sixth place with 31.96, and for the 400M Varsity, Jordan Young brought home a No. 1 win with 1:08.45.

The men’s 200M finishers were Hayden Stockton at second place with 24.98, fourth was Daniel Walker with 26.00, and Justin Mendenhall in fifth with 26.21. Men’s 400M brought Caleb Petersen a second place win with the time of 57.78 followed by Ryan Mason in sixth place with 1:00.71.

Dylan Hines brought his A-game to the men’s 800M and brought home fourth place at 2:19.35, and he also brought home fifth place in the 1600M race with 5:18.25, followed by teammate Hunter Smith who won eighth place in the 1600M race with 5:41.60. Smith also came in second in the 3200M race with 11:22.09, followed by Samuel Gorton in fourth place with 11:36.42.

Prairie Plaster, Josie Leyden, Lillian Goad, and Emmaline Pinkerton brought home a third place win in the 4x100 womens relay race.

In the women’s 3200M race, Abigail Gorton brought home second place with 13:02.19, closely followed by Ada Bonnell’s fourth place finish at 14:55.80.

In the 100M hurdle competition, BFHS girls team’s Serenity Fahey finished at 20:88 and brought the team a third place win, and another fourth place win in the 300M hurdles with 1:03.68 time.

Timberlake 122.00, Coeur d’Alene Charter at 23.00.

Timberlake 107.66 and Bonners Ferry at 38.33.

Bonners Ferry at 85.00 and Coeur d’Alene Charter at 50.00.

team was as follows:

Timberlake at 124.00 and Coeur d’Alene Charter at 19.00.

Timberlake at 114.00 and Bonners Ferry at 32.00.

Bonners Ferry at 71.00 and Coeur d’Alene Charter at 50.00.
