March 24-25

B.F. School Trap Team

Well so much for global warming! Rain, Hail, Snow and Wind. Duke’s Claybusters, had it all Saturday at the trap club. Jr. Wade Rice broke 24X25 at 16yrds, Sub Jr. Seth Rice had 21X25 and Rebeckah Erickson 15X25. Very good scores for poor visibility and cold weather. Scores went down on their later practice rounds as the weather got worse. Older club members truly admired these young students for their stamina shooting in this weather.

The regular Sunday shoot did not get a break weather wise, as there were 15 shooters out to practice. The four Annie Oakleys were fun as usual, a lot of kidding when someone shoots himself out- that means shooting at a bird that was already hit. Shooting is a lot more fun when it’s warmer and you don’t have all those clothes on.

Shoot safely and keep your powder dry.

See you next week.
