Army Corps host public information meetings at Bonners Ferry and Libby

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is hosting Libby Dam annual operations public information meetings in Bonners Ferry, on May 3, and in Libby, MT, on May 10. At the Bonners Ferry meeting, representatives from the Corps, National Weather Service, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will discuss water supply forecasts, Libby Dam operations, and Kootenai River white sturgeon recovery. At the Libby meeting, representatives from the Corps and Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks will discuss water supply forecasts, Libby Dam operations, Kootenai River fisheries and fish and wildlife habitat projects, and recreational opportunities at Libby Dam. Members of the public, elected officials, and stakeholders with an interest in Libby Dam and the Kootenai River are encouraged to attend and learn more about dam operations.

May 10, 7-9 p.m. MDT, K.W. Maki Theater, 724 Louisiana Ave., Libby, MT
