What experience, expertise, or background do you feel qualifies you for this position?

I was born and raised in Boundary County and have a lifetime invested in this community. I worked in the timber industry for 30 years and in the maintenance shop budgeting and coordinating repairs on equipment to minimize downtime. I understand the need for efficiency and economic responsibility. I have worked in the agriculture community for 10 years building working relationships with many community members. I have served on City Planning and Zoning Board for the last 10 years and enjoy serving my community.

What do you hope to accomplish if elected?

As one of three members of the Boundary County Commissioners, I will work together to improve the infrastructure for business and employment opportunities. Boundary County’s resources have been instrumental in my life and my family and I will continue to support the timber and agriculture industries. The issues that are important to the citizens are the issues important to me. It is important to educate ourselves, listen to the concerns expressed, make informed decisions, and communicate those issues to the citizens while working together toward solutions and improvements. I want everyone in Boundary County to have the same opportunities I have had living here; to work and make a living, raise a family, retire and enjoy the many benefits and resources our County has to offer.
