Local bowlers compete at WSBC tournament in Reno

RENO, Nev. — Two teams from the Tuesdays Trouble bowling league went to Reno to bowl in the 2018 WSBC Womens Bowling Tournament.

In the Team Event Jeanne Osborn got high game 167, second high game Donna Kent 163 and third high game Carolyn McNeill 160. High series Helen Heritage 423, second high series Alice Vangundy 418 and third high series Donna Kent 417.

High Team Far North Outfitters Panthers (Donna Kent, Helen Heritage, DaVonna Cada, Carolyn McNeill) 1634. Second high Team Far North Outfitters Cougars (Alice VanGundy, Dolores Sweet, Virginia Sanborn, Jeannie Osborn) 1470.

Doubles were bowled by Jeanne Osborn, DaVonna Cada, Donna Kent. Helen Heritage picked up three splits 4-5, 5-7 & 2-7.

Doubles Event:

High game Alice VanGundy 155, second high game Helen Heritage 148 and third high game Carolyn McNeill 143.

High Doubles pair was Donna Kent and Helen Heritage 290, Second high doubles pair was DaVonna Cada and Carolyn McNeill 283, third high doubles pair was Virginia Sanborn and Jeanne Osborn 260. Fourth high doubles pair was Alice VanGundy and Dolores Sweet 259. Doubles were bowled by Alice VanGundy and Virginia Sanborn.

Donna Kent got the 4-5-7 split and Helen Heritage got 3-10.

Singles Event:

High Game Jeanne Osborn 169 second high game Helen Heritage 168 and third high game Virginia Sanborn 160.

All Events:

High series Alice VanGundy 1281, second high series Helen Heritage 1280 and third high series Carolyn McNeill 1263.

Jeanne Osborn got a turkey and Donna Kent got a double.

Jeanne Osborn, Alice VanGundy, Virginia Sanborn and Dolores Sweet got the 3-10 split, Helen Heritage got 2-7 and Virginia Sanborn got the 4-5-7.

Virginia Sanborn won a special TOPAZ award given after all nine games were bowled.
