Trailer fire extinguished quickly

BONNERS FERRY — On May 23 at 4:11 a.m. there was a trailer fire at the Kaniksu Trailer Park which was quickly responded to and contained by Bonners Ferry Fire Department. There was a flare up again at 4:16 p.m. and additional precautions were taken. The residence was a total loss, but there were no reported injuries.

“The team did great,” said Bonners Ferry Fire Chief David Winey.

With the quick response of the fire crews and first responders, nearby residents were made aware of the situation and the fire crews were able to keep the surrounding homes safe.

The fire is still under investigation.
