Forest Service begins burning piles

| November 1, 2018 1:00 AM

It is the start of the pile burning season and according to Boundary County Public Information Officer Mike Meier, the Forest Service will be likely to be burning piles the next few weeks if they are cleared for smoke, not always a guarantee.

In general: They will be burning piles throughout the district, but they are concentrated by sale in specific areas. Our main sales are around Brush Lake, Kriest Creek and Copper Creek area, the Wall Mountain area, Leonia Knob, Robinson Lake Area, possibly along the Snow Creek road, between the Camp Nine, Huckleberry roads, and Templeman Lake, and the base of Hall Mountain.
