Jiu-Jitsu strikes again

BONNERS FERRY — On Oct 6, members of Bonners Ferry Jiu-Jitsu attended the first Spokane Submission challenge. This tournament was hosted by Adam Smith at Corefit Inc. Adam Smith is the co-owner and operator of Spokane Valley Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The tournament included both male and female competitors starting as young as four years old.
Coach Sam Brown of Bonners Ferry Jiu-Jitsu stated, “It’s really great to have another local tournament pop up. Last year we traveled to the Seattle area four times, California, Las Vegas, Denver, Missoula, Mont., etc. Having a chance to compete so close to home is great and we’re super thankful that Adam put the competition together.
“The whole thing was really well run and every single competitor we took, made the podium and brought home some medals,” Brown added. “There were a lot of smiles that day!”
