Alpine Linens have new prospective owners
BONNERS FERRY — The Alpine Linen Inc. has prospective new owners, Raymond and Rebecca Jolley. The couple has been pouring their hearts into the business for years, and have recently received the opportunity to purchase the incorporation.
The couple were both born and raised in Richland, Wash., where their parents were good friends. Life took each of them in a separate direction, only to reunite them in 2001. The couple were married in 2005 and have four children, Michael, Phoenix, Christa, and Brooklynn.
In 2010, the family decided to make the move to Bonners Ferry. With very little money, the first few months of their move was a struggle, especially not knowing anyone. After building friendships, Rebecca Jolley came to be employed by Alpine Linen Inc. in 2011, and quickly showed the company owners not only how hard of a worker she was, but how much she cared for the business. In 2012, Raymond Jolley was hired as well, and since then they have put not only time and effort into the business, but heart as well.
In 2013, Raymond Jolley received his bachelor degree in Business Administration, graduating Magna Cum Laude, bringing an additional asset to the company through knowledge.
On July 4, 2014, Alpine Linen Inc. suffered a devastating fire. The duo pushed through the loss alongside the current owner, bringing service back to their customers within hours.
“Our acronym for Alpine Linen Inc., otherwise known to us as ALI,” said Rebecca Jolley. “We named her after the fire because she became so real to us.”
After years of hard work and saving, the couple was in the place to make a large purchase. They decided to make a bold move and offer to purchase Alpine Linen Inc. in 2015.
While waiting for a solid reply, they got an offer to purchase their first home in August 2017, and after much deliberation, they decided to purchase the home.
In August 2018, they received a reply about the purchase of the business with a closing sale date of Jan. 1, 2019. After the recent purchase of their home, they are hard pressed for the funds for the down payment and half of the closing costs for the business that they love and cherish.
“Our goals for the business are to maximize the potential of ‘her’,” said Raymond Jolley. “We do not have any intentions of making too many changes to the company because, our community is used to the services that are offered. Our number one goal for Alpine is to provide the best possible local services that we can.”
They hosted a spaghetti dinner and fundraiser event on Nov. 12, with a smaller turnout than expected. On Saturday, Dec. 15, they will be hosting another fundraiser at the fairgrounds in the Valley Event Center building. Keep an eye out for more details. They will be selling coupons, crafts, and baked goods.
“The Jolley family wants to thank everyone for helping us make our dream of owning ALI come true,” said Rebecca Jolley.
