Bart Langford

Bart Langford, 72, a longtime resident of Bonners Ferry, died Sept. 28, 2018, at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, following a brief illness.

Bart was born in Bonners Ferry on June 10, 1946, to Henry and Evelyn Langford, sharing his birthdate with his older brother Ralph, making it a special day. He attended Bonners Ferry Public Schools, graduating from high school with the Class of 1965. He continued his education at North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene with an associate arts degree.

Bart worked his way through school, helping out his dad with his sawmill and also at Bonners Ferry and Priest River sawmills. In high school Bart enjoyed playing and lettering in football, basketball and track. Later on, he purchased a Cessna airplane and enjoyed taking family and friends on flights. He also enjoyed his computer, watching movies and visits with family and friends.

He retired from working at Eastern Washington University after 25 years in the radio and television department. He returned to his hometown of Bonners Ferry to live near his brother Ralph.

Bart is survived by his brother Ralph and sisters Lois Hersman, Norma (Duane) Syth, Louise (Jim) Whitcomb, and Marlene (Jim) Larsen as well as numerous nieces, nephews and special friends. Bart will be truly missed by all.
