Coats for Kids Drive begins at Valley View Elementary School

Valley View Elementary is now conducting its annual COATS FOR KIDS drive. Anyone may drop off their GENTLY USED, CLEAN COATS, WITH WORKING ZIPPERS. Hats, gloves, boots and scarves are also needed.

Items may be dropped off during Valley View office hours, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday, located at 6750 Augusta St. in Bonners Ferry. Drop boxes will be available at Safeway, Super 1 and Shopko.

Distribution will begin on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Valley View Elementary, during the same office hours.

Any Boundary County child in need of winter clothing is welcome. A parent or other adult must accompany a child to choose winter clothing items. A staff member could assist a Valley View student to select a coat, if the parent/guardian makes arrangements.
