BFHS football loses finale
SPIRIT LAKE — The Bonners Ferry football team ended its season at Timberlake, falling 55-6 to the Tigers, who went undefeated in the Intermountain League conference.
After the Tigers (6-3, 3-0 IML) scored the first two touchdowns of the game, Badger Anthony Cooper returned the ensuing kickoff 80 yards to pull BFHS within 14-6.
Unfortunately for the Badgers, Timberlake scored five more touchdowns before intermission the seal the victory.
Ty Bateman had 42 yards rushing and 31 yards passing for the Badgers (1-8, 0-3), while Aaron Scott threw for 20 yards. Jake Jelinek led the Bonners Ferry receives with two catches for 25 yards.
