School trap shooting practice:

Saturday, Oct 13: Wow! What beautiful weather. We had six shooters today, great. Melanie Campbell was in the high teens, Wyatt Hathaway had a pair of 12X25s. His cousin Dane Hathaway, second time shooting, had a 12X25 then 15X25 improving well.

Kamen Nelson had 20X25 and 21X25, Seth Rice broke 15X25 and 22X25, and Wade Rice had a pair of 19X25s, very proud of them all. Wade is not getting in much practice as he is attending Electrician Apprenticeship School, in Coeur d’Alene. We are glad to have him whenever he can make it. Remember, good grades first.

Sunday, Oct 14: I had a call and met up with Dana Jeppesen, formerly from Bonners Ferry, at the gun club. What a great surprise! Dana can’t shoot trap anymore as to his legs are not working well. He asked if he could donate his two 12 gauge Browning trap guns to the BF Gun Club for the High School Team to use. I said yes, and boy what a surprise, one of them he bought from Way Davis, a former shooter, member and great friend. Way and Doris Davis owned and ran the Deep Creek Resort and Restaurant in it original state. We had our gun clubhouse and club out there. Thank you, Dana.

Saturday, Oct. 20: Melanie Campbell had 15X25 and 19X25, she also shot a goose, dad missed, great shot. Seth Rice had 20X25, Kamen Nelson 19X25 and 21X25, he also filled his cow tag, way to go Kamen. New shooter Ryan Carelli broke a 13X25 and 14X25, with his 12 gauge, improving well. Also new shooter Colin Fairchild broke 20X25 and 22X25, very good for second time out.

Sunday, Oct. 14: Had 12 shooters practice and four Annie Oakleys.

Sunday, Oct. 21: Had 12 shooters again including two Canadian members. Good weather and great fun. Shoot safe and keep your powder dry.
