Jim Stackhouse
Jim Stackhouse
December 10, 1931 – October 11, 2018.
Born in Raleigh, N.C., and raised by his grandparents Thomas and Mary Stackhouse. Jimmie joined the Navy in 1948 at the age of 17 and retired in 1971 as a master chief. He married young to Mary Ellen, who tragically passed away.
After that he and his six children moved from California to Whidbey Island where he met and married Doris. Doris had two children and Jimmie and Doris had one child together. They raised their nine children on the Island and then later in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, until they divorced. In 1984 Jimmie married Terry and her three children.
Later in life Jim worked at the Bonners Ferry Forest Service and was the Superintendent of Boundary Country Road and Bridge until he retired for the second time.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ellen, and his children Rob, Josh and Brenda. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Terry Lee Stackhouse, and his children Mike, Tom, Lana, Rhonda, Sue, Amy, Peggy, Jason, and Tiffany. As well as an ever-growing list of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
