First of all I have a very sincere apology to make, the School Shooters article about one of our best shooters 1st name was totally wrong, it was Kamen Nelson not what was printed. I was taught to proofread all my articles that go public and I did not do that this time, it will not happen again. Kamen please accept my apology, Lonny.

“Dukes Clay Busters,” Wednesday, Aug. 29: Wow, our favorite lady school shooter, Melanie Campbell, broke 22X25 1st round out today, she followed it with a 20X25, as the wind came up, which made shooting a lot tougher. New shooter Wyatt Hathaway broke the same 22X25 and 20X25 — good shooting in a strong gusty wind.

School starts Tuesday so I will not be opening up the club on Wednesdays anymore this year. The gun club is also moving our traps so we can include shooting doubles, which is part of clay target shooting. Two at a time being thrown out of the house. So much fun.

Bonners Ferry Gun Club Sunday, Aug. 26: We had 13 shooters. Had five practice rounds and four Annie Oakleys. Our new younger shooters had a tough time today out shooting the over the hill gang, what fun. New members Kent and Ralf are getting a lot better in the Annies along with Mrs. Kent who shot out one of the old gang members, great pick up Kristy.

Sunday, Sept. 2: We had nine shooters today, good turnout for a holiday weekend. Boy, first Annie we had 21/2 cycles before anyone missed, I guess everyone was hungry today. Come on out and shoot some moving clay targets, it really helps before bird season starts.

Handle your gun safely and keep those school grades up. Remember School Shooters Saturday at 10 a.m.

See you all out at the Trap Club ...
