| September 20, 2018 1:00 AM

Alta Forest Products would like to thank the people of Boundary County for helping raise more than $1,200 during the Boundary County Fair this year. All money raised will be donated to Naples Elementary School.

Plans for use of the money will include items such as new basketball hoops for younger students, beautification and improvements to the school grounds, a Buddy Bench, and materials for the H.A.T.S. academic enrichment activities.

“We are thankful to our community for supporting us and Naples Elementary at the fair. Naples Elementary has always had a good relationship with Alta and we are happy to support our neighbor.” said Ryan Comer, Plant Manager at Alta Forest Products in Naples.

Robin Merrifield, principal at Naples Elementary shared these sentiments, “The efforts of Alta and their team are a gift for which we are extremely grateful. When they approached me last spring, I shared their fundraising plans with the Naples staff. The joy and emotion among our team was overwhelming. We also give thanks to Dennis Fitch for donating his hauling services. The support of the Naples community never ceases to amaze. We just cannot say thank you enough!”

When you have a moment, head on out to Naples and see the great things that are happening! It’s the little school with the big heart and an amazing community surrounding it!
