Fire investigators seeking information on cause of Fleming Creek Fire

Fire investigators ask anyone with information about the cause of the Fleming Creek Fire to contact the Idaho Department of Lands (IDL) at 208-666-8659 or by e-mail at investigation@idl.idaho.gov.

The Fleming Creek Fire started the morning of August 24, 2018, six miles north of Bonners Ferry, Idaho in the Fleming Creek drainage. IDL is investigating the cause of the fire with assistance from the Boundary County Sheriff’s Office.

Any information received as part of the investigation will be kept confidential.

The fire is 100 percent contained. Costs to fight the fire have reached more than an estimated $1.1 million.
