Gun Club News
Saturday, Sept. 8, “Dukes Claybusters”: We had three school shooters today. The weather was good, Melanie Campbell 17X25, Wyatt Hatheway 21X25, Kamen Nelson 22X25. More practice and I’m sure we will see some 25X25. Great shooting, shooters.
Saturday, Sept. 15, “Dukes Claybusters”: What a great turnout today, nice weather and six school shooters, four beginners. Wyatt Hatheway missed his third bird and broke the rest for 24X25 — great shooting Wyatt, the 25X25 is coming. Falen Eberhardt shot a 20X25 today, good shooting as he has missed a lot of practice as to a illness in his family.
New shooters Lonnie and Luc Lablanc, first time shooting clay targets, they did well, first time out a lot to learn. Mainly safety first. Wyatt’s cousin Dane broke 13X25 then 15X25, good shooting for first time. Ryan Carelli broke 9X25 then 14X25 and 17x25 — almost out-shot his father, Paul, who filled in to make a full squad on the last two rounds. Kamen Nelson stopped by to let me know he couldn’t shoot today, which I very much appreciate.
I hope to see you all back next Saturday. Keep those grades up. Good grade first, shooting second.
Sunday, Sept 9, Bonners Ferry Gun Club: Had 10 shooters, practice rounds, and four Annies. Great fun and good practice for bird hunting.
Sunday, Sept 16, we only had five shooters, as most of the club member went to Bull Lake, Mont., for their autumn shoot. I went to Hauser Lake to their fall shoot as they support our club with 20 to 30 shooters each year. I was very surprised as 360 Apparel in Spokane donated 12 hats for the Bonners Ferry High School Dukes Claybusters, plus another banner. Thank you, McKlendons, so very much.
Shoot straight and keep your powder dry.
