For the week of Sept. 11 and 12, Game of the Day was “Mystery Partner” in which the identity of the winning team is unknown until after play is done, when lots are drawn to determine who were the “mystery” partners. It was also the second half of Club Championship play, in which the Club Champion is the player having the lowest score for 18 holes of play (9 holes last week and nine played this week.)

For the Tuesday evening, Sept. 11, players, Renee Murphy and Elaine Morgan were the winning mystery partners. Julie Williams won low gross with her score of 40, and Gerry Ann Howlett, Elaine Morgan and Renee Murphy tied for low net with 38.

For the Wednesday morning, Sept. 12, players, Julie Williams and Anne Bonar were the winning mystery partners. Julie Williams won low gross with a stunning 38, and Linda Bogden and Evelyn Rae tied for low net with 37. Julie Williams had the low putts with 15, and Ada Gardiner had a chip in on Hole #4. Identity of the Club Champion is still under wraps but will be announced at the season’s closing dinner.

The Mirror Lake Ladies meet on Tuesday evenings and/or Wednesday mornings at Mirror Lake Golf Club from the first Wednesday in May through the last Wednesday in September. Although our season is rapidly winding down, there are still two weeks left to enjoy the good comradery and miraculous small triumphs that Mirror Lake golf has to offer. All interested lady golfers are always welcome to join!
