Spaghetti dinner to help Cancer Support Group

The Bonners Ferry Women’s Cancer Support Group will be holding its annual Spaghetti Dinner at Chic-n-Chop from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4. Tickets will be sold at the door at $5 per person.

This annual event is one of the main fundraisers for our group. Super 1 Foods donates the bread and Lighthouse donates the salad dressings. The rest of the dinner, including labor, is donated by Ron from Chic-n-Chop. Other fundraisers include the raffle of a quilt, handmade and donated by Arden Bauman, proceeds from the BFHS Girls’ “Dig Pink” volleyball tournament, plus generous donations from groups or individuals throughout the year.

All of the money raised stays local and pays for gas vouchers for people who have to travel out of town for cancer treatments. So far in 2018, we have been able to provide over $6,000 in gas vouchers.

This support group meets at noon on the fourth Monday every month at the Panhandle Health Office.
