BONNERS FERRY — Visitors to the Kootenai River Inn Casino and Spa may have noticed some changes to The Springs Restaurant and the River Side rooms.

Over the course of about two months, local contractors from Bonners Ferry and Coeur d’Alene teamed up and renovated what is the first portion of a large property improvement plan.

Northwest Paint, Unruh’s Drywall, Panhandle Countertops, and Idaho Granite Works worked with Coeur d’Alene Acoustics, Garnett Wall Coverings, Great Floors, and Rady’s Electric to achieve the company’s vision.

“We are very excited about the completion of our recent River View Guest Room remodel,” said General Manager Tom Turpin. “All of our River View rooms were completely remodeled.”

The remodeled rooms boast new paint, carpet, wall coverings, furniture, artwork, window coverings, and more.

“We have also added large refrigerators, microwaves, as well as multiple power outlets and USB connections,” said Turpin. “This, along with the beautiful walk-in showers, 42-inch TVs, and private balconies, make our guest rooms a must see experience.”

After the first renovation of 65 rooms, there are more plans in the making to upgrade and improve the property and rooms in order to bring their guests fresh, upgraded facilities to enjoy.

The rooms were not the only thing that has been renovated. The Springs Restaurant and Lounge has also seen some changes.

There is new carpeting, furniture, trim, decorative privacy glass, ceiling, lighting and menus, among other things.

“The transformation of the new Springs Restaurant and Lounge is incredible and refreshing,” said Turpin. “It is totally updated with a beautiful modern look and the same awestruck view of the Kootenai River and surrounding mountains.”

Utilizing the same teams listed above, the Springs renovations took about a month to complete.

“The whole team at the Springs, and at the Kootenai River Inn Casino and Spa, are delighted to share the new look and menus with guests,” stated their press release. “The feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive.”

With 101 guest rooms, a swimming pool and hot tub, the Springs Restaurant and Lounge, the Spa, and the entertainment that the Casino has to offer, the Best Western Kootenai River Inn Casino and Spa continues to be one of the most visited attractions in Bonners Ferry. They also offer a business center, meeting facilities, a banquet room, fitness center, and a sun deck on the scenic river.

They are owned by the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho and managed by the Hagadone Hospitality Company. Located at 7169 Plaza St. in Bonners Ferry, their phone number is 208-267-8511, and their website is www.kootenairiverinn.com.
